After reading《Black Beauty》In book《Black Beauty》, Anna Sewell told us a story about a horse who called black beauty. He was born in a wonderful farm. when he was young, his mother taught him how to be good-tempered. And when he grew up, his owner (the farmer) trained him to be a good horse. Under well teaching by his mother and the farmer, he became brave, strong, gentle and intelligent. Because of these brilliant characteristics, he was sold to the second owner. His second owner was a squire. He was rich and treated black beauty very kind. His name “black beauty” was given by him- the second owner. However, the world is impermanent. Because of the owner’s wife sickness, they had to go to downtown for cure. The owner eventually sold all the horses including black beauty. From then on, black beauty’s erratic life started. Black beauty has been sold for many times. since then, his life went on with ups and downs. During the unstable period of his life, he met many different characters of owners. Some of them are friendly. Some are graceless - they use him as a tool instead of a friend, a worker. They sold black beauty when they thought he has no further useful functions. No matter how good or bad the owners were, black beauty always kept gentle, he never bit or kicked anyone. There are also some more outstanding features that black beauty owns intrinsically: First, he accomplished all the work whether they are hard or easy (unless body problem). He never slights any work but always pays full attention to them.What’s more, he is optimistic. Though some people let him work all time without enough rest.In addition, a large amount of his owners still hurt him and controlled him by the way which black beauty hated. However, he still never gave up. when he was hurt deeply, he was filled full of hopes that his next owner will be friendly.The last but not the least, he is brave. One time, in a rainy and windy day, he saved his owner’s life.All in all, black beauty is worthy of being respected. Although he is a horse.
